RBS recognised by leading global Sustainability index
RBS has been included in the 2014 Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) with an overall score of 82.
15 September 2014
The DJSI is based on an analysis of management practices and performance measures across economic, environmental and social indicators. This includes assessing policies and performance in areas such as corporate governance, branding, supply chain standards, risk management and labour practices.
The DJSI is a useful way for companies to benchmark progress against best practice in their own sector. The index also recognises key global trends, and assess how well a company is managing the risks and opportunities associated with them.
RBS is measured against 192 Banks, of which the top 25 are included in the DJSI World Index. RBS' score of 82 compares favourably with the industry average score of 60.
