Building and nurturing a healthy and inclusive culture throughout the bank is one of our core priorities. We encourage colleagues to bring the best of themselves to work, and to help each other to realise their full potential. The results of our most recent opinion survey are the most positive we’ve seen since we started measuring engagement – and shows our culture continues to change for the better.
A great source of pride is many colleagues’ commitment to helping their local communities. We encourage them to take part in giving and volunteering programmes wherever they can.
New ways of working
In 2018 we continued to embrace new ways of working to allow us to deliver better products more quickly to our customers. We have seen colleagues adopting agile working in a number of areas across the bank – and have put in place a core and common language and methods where they matter to our people, to work in a consistent way across teams.
