The RBS Supplier Code of Conduct sets out the sustainability requirements that suppliers must meet in order to do business with us.
- We implemented the requirements of the Modern Slavery Act (MSA) in our sourcing process as set out in our MSA statement, and updated the Supplier Code of Conduct to reflect these changes.
- We introduced a new technology platform called Fieldglass to improve governance of the requisitioning process for contingent labour. This has given us greater control, while at the same time simplified our processes.
- We embedded an electronic invoicing solution, introducing it as a contractual requirement with suppliers, which has had an impact to date of reducing paper invoices by 75% across UK and ROI.
RBS’ commitment as a Living Wage accredited employer applies to everyone working for the bank in the UK and has been extended to staff who are employed via suppliers (e.g. cleaning, security and catering staff).
