The RBS Supplier Code of Conduct sets out the sustainability requirements that suppliers must meet in order to do business with us.
- We launched the Supplier Code of Conduct (SCoC), building on the requirements previously set out in the Sustainable Procurement Code.
- We have enhanced our supplier management activities in relation to Sustainability issues, requiring suppliers to confirm their compliance with the SCoC throughout the life of the engagement.
- We introduced electronic contract signatures simplifying the contracting process by removing the need to print out physical copies of the contract for signature.
- We built on the work carried out in 2017 to embed our electronic invoicing solution, as a contractual requirement with suppliers, and reducing paper invoices by 90% across UK and ROI.
RBS’ commitment as a Living Wage accredited employer applies to everyone working for the bank in the UK and has been extended to staff who are employed via suppliers (e.g. cleaning, security and catering staff).
