In 2016:

  • We updated our sourcing process and the Sustainable Procurement Code to include specific requirements of the Modern Slavery Act.
  • The Supply Chain Partnerships Programme, initiated in 2015, supports suppliers and SMEs by providing access to RBS Supply Chain Services’ expertise, through mentoring, training, collaboration and networks. This was achieved through a series of events, one-to-one engagements and engagement with external partners aligned primarily with the Enterprise, Entrepreneurial and Diversity and Inclusion areas. Over 500 businesses were engaged or supported in 2016.
  • We launched a new electronic invoicing solution, reducing paper invoices by over 25% across the UK and ROI.

As an accredited Living Wage Employer, we have continued in our commitment to extend the Living Wage to our suppliers, throughout 2016.
