Guildford will host the main event, with over 60,000 people expected to attend a full day of celebrations, including a service in the Cathedral and a parade in Guildford High Street. The afternoon will see a spectacular show being held in Stoke Park, with vintage vehicles, parachute displays, military bands and a fly past, as well as live music and entertainment. It’s free to attend the event in Stoke Park, and you can find out how to get there by visiting www.skillsandopportunitiesfund.rbs.com.
Events are being held all over the country to celebrate the day, so visit the Armed Forces day website to find out what’s happening near you.
Celebrating our Reserves
It’s Reserves Day on Wednesday 24th June, and we’ll be paying tribute to our employees who are also Reservists in the Armed Forces, spending their spare time training ready to be deployed in times of need. Visit our blog on Friday morning to discover what it’s like to combine life as an RBS employee with military training.
To commemorate the centenary of the First World War we have created a special website which explores what the Great War meant for our staff and customers, and remembers those who were lost. Visit the RBS Remembers site to discover their stories.
