RBS lifts ATM restrictions
Earlier this year we announced that by the end of 2014 we would be lifting restrictions on our Basic Bank Accounts to allow all our customers to access the LINK ATM network.

We’re pleased to announce that from today, all of our customers will be able to use non-RBS and NatWest cash machines.
This will benefit the 1 million customers, who have a Basic Bank Account, and have not been able to access the network following a decision made in 2011.
Les Matheson, CEO of Personal and Business Banking for RBS and Natwest said; “From today, Basic Bank Account customers have access to withdraw money from any Link ATM. We’ve been gradually introducing this facility over the last few months to make it easier for these customers to bank with us. We promised to lift the ATM restriction in June this year and we’ve now fulfilled that promise. This is a step towards earning back the trust of our customers and will make a huge difference to those who have struggled to access their money.”
