RBS has been recognized as a leader by the CPD for the depth and quality of our disclosure of climate change related data.
17 October 2014
An international Non Governmental Organisation, the CDP works to motivate companies to disclose their impacts on the environment, as well as take action to reduce them.
RBS has secured a position on the FTSE 350 Climate Disclosure Leadership Index (CDLI), signifying we have been ranked in the top 10% of participating companies for disclosure, with a score of 98 out of 100.
The score reflects the company's extensive disclosure on how we are managing the risks and opportunities associated with climate change. RBS also achieved a performance score of B, reflecting the fact that we must continue to manage our impacts in order to achieve our emissions reduction targets.
The CDP works with over 700 institutional investors with assets of US$92 trillion. This recognition of transparent reporting and disclosure comes following RBS' recent inclusion in the 2014 Dow Jones Sustainability Index, a leading global sustainability index which measures and tracks sustainability performance.
