RBS – Finding Scotland’s Real Heroes is returning this summer for a second series to celebrate deserving heroes from communities all around Scotland.

In the new five part TV series, sponsored by RBS, series presenter Carol Smillie will introduce this year’s 30 finalists - ordinary people who have done something extraordinary for Scotland, whether it’s for their whole nation or their local community.

The new weekly series launches on STV at 8pm on Friday 15th August and ends with an hour long star-studded awards show to be filmed at Gogarburn and airing on Tuesday 14th October, when the winners across the ten award categories will be revealed.

Once again this year the finalists’ stories are humbling, inspirational and, in some cases, tear-jerking. And you can vote for your favourites each week because in the end, it’s the viewers who will decide who wins.

Watch out for leaflets with information on the series that will be in every RBS branch in Scotland throughout August and September.

How you vote for your favourite Real Hero

Voting will open after each episode has been shown on STV, starting 8pm Friday 15th August until 12pm on Friday 19th September, and will remain open for one week until the next episode airs.

This year you’ll be able to vote online on the STV website or by sending a text. You can vote for one hero in each category. For full details on how to vote online or by text, click here.
