NatWest assists Modern Packaging Ltd's expansion plans and job creation

Cheltenham-based Modern Packaging UK Ltd is delighted to announce that with the support of a funding package provided by NatWest, they have acquired a second site in Pershore.

Established in 1990 by Directors and brothers, Bernie and Tom Woods and Finance Director, Linda Cliffe, the trio have built up a successful printing company for the retail sector across the UK – from the largest superstores through to the smallest independents. Leasing their head offices in Cheltenham, Modern Packaging required a further second site to meet the demands the company has been experiencing for their products in the last 12 months. This latest purpose built factory boasts two large format flexographic printing presses, a state of the art laminating machine, two slitting machines, a large custom built film storage area together with additional spacious offices.

The company have purchased these premises through banking partner, NatWest who provided finance facilities as well as a further invoice finance package for working capital. Dawn Wasey, senior relationship manager at NatWest structured the deal to accommodate the management's requirements. The funding will support a further manufacturing site and 10 additional staff to their existing 50+ employees.

"We are confident that this new acquisition will significantly improve and build on our current services and products. With additional manufacturing capacity we will be better placed to ensure the continuity and quality of service to our customers and to develop strategic growth and future potential which today's flexible packaging industry requires. We are grateful to the NatWest team for allowing this next phase of expansion."

Directors at Modern Packaging UK Ltd

"I'm thrilled that NatWest has been able to provide the support and funding the management team required to make their goal of opening a further manufacturing site become a reality. They have put a lot of time and energy into developing their business and it's great to see all the team's hard work paying off - they are proof that local SME businesses are still thriving. I wish the team at Modern Packaging all the best as they settle into their new surroundings."
