RBS appoints Marco Salvalaggio as Head of Sovereign, Supranationals and Agencies

The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Marco Salvalaggio as Head of Sovereign, Supranationals and Agencies (SSA) Coverage.

Mr Salvalaggio will be based in London and report to Eamonn Price, Head of the Financial Institutions Group, EMEA.

Mr Salvalaggio joins RBS from Axa Rosenberg where he was joint head of the Long-Short Equities team. Prior to this, he was a Managing Director at Lehman Brothers where he was responsible for Liability Management, Derivatives, and latterly Italian Public Sector Origination and Eastern European Capital Markets Origination.

Commenting on the appointment, Mr Price said: "Marco brings to RBS considerable investment banking experience on both the buy-side and sell-side. His specific experience in the Public Sector will ideally place him to co-ordinate across our entire product franchise and will help us to provide the best advice to our SSA clients".

Mr Salvalggio is a graduate in Engineering from the University of Padova and holds an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley.
