NatWest supports medical practice acquisition
Two Strood-based doctors are meeting their personal ambitions to own and run their first medical practice through the provision of a £575,000 funding package provided by banking partner NatWest.

Dr Juneja and Dr Broom were looking to acquire their first medial practice at a time Marlowe Park Medical Practice in Strood was looking to be sold. The purpose-built surgery, based on the Wells Road, currently has 3,200 patients and the potential to expand on their existing medical services. The duo will concentrate on recruiting additional patients; with a focus on the Eastern European community making full use of Dr Juneja's Russian and Polish language skills. Today, the medical practice is run by both Dr's, a practice nurse and receptionists and they are hoping patient numbers will rise to 4,000 by the end of the year which will give scope for further job creation.
Martin Garner, Healthcare Manager at NatWest was approached by Dr Juneja to review their business plan. Martin was confident he would be able to provide £575,000 to purchase the existing medical practice, allowing for costs involved, in addition to the purchase price agreed by the vendor.
Dr Juneja, Partner, Marlowe Park Medical Practice, said:
"It is really exciting for us to finally be our own boss. The premises in Strood became available when the previous owner was looking to sell so inheriting his patients made the transition easier. We are confident so far that we have made the right decision and thank NatWest for their valued support throughout the process."
Martin Garner, Healthcare Manager at NatWest said:
"Both Dr Juneja and Dr Broom instilled me with confidence from the outset, given their medical experience and appetite to succeed and it is rewarding to see them fulfilling their personal ambitions. I wish them both every success as they establish themselves in the local community."
