Bradford food experts complete £150k upgrade funded by NatWest

Bradford food ingredient wholesalers, Gordon Rhodes & Son, have expanded their operation with the installation of a new £150k production line.

The company own the Dalesman trade mark and this major addition to their site is being supported by a funding package from NatWest bank and their asset finance arm, Lombard.

The new equipment will facilitate the growth of the company by making increased production possible and allowing the flexibility for further expansion in future. The line assists with quality control monitors while accurately measuring products and inserting them into containers under strict, hygienic conditions.

Launched in 1979 the company sell their own blends of seasonings and mixes and have had to move to new premises around the Bradford area a total of four times to allow for rapid growth in this period. In that time bespoke Dalesman products have been created for a range of food industries including the fish, meat and bakery sectors.

Ian Rhodes, Company Director for Gordon Rhodes & Son, said: "We are delighted to have this new equipment installed and fully operational. It allows us to produce in greater quantities and helps us offer an even better service to our customers.

This collaboration has enabled Gordon Rhodes & Son to oversee the installation, which involved several different suppliers, and meet their respective payment terms, safe in the knowledge that term funding by Lombard was assured upon final commissioning.
