Southampton local business owners invited to free business advice event

NatWest and HJS are teaming up to bring a free business advice seminar to Southampton.

On Thursday 21 June, local business owners are invited to attend a complimentary seminar aimed at helping them to find out more about government assistance available to them and how to take advantage of it.

The event, which is open to all, is being held at Kuti's Royal Thai Pier Restaurant on Town Quay and will run from 4:30pm to 6pm. During this time representatives from HJS and NatWest will present on topics including sources of business finance, government grants and maximising tax relief on business investments. Guests are then invited to stay on to enjoy a Thai BBQ, drinks and a great opportunity to network.

Commenting on the event, Derek Hatton, Business Development Director for NatWest Commercial Banking in Southampton, said: "My colleagues and I are delighted to be teaming up with HJS to extend the support we can offer businesses in the area through this event. Having access to advice and guidance from banks and other advisory organisations is vital to businesses and this event gives people a great opportunity to chat through their ideas and circumstances and discover the wealth of support that is available."

Julian Sims, Tax Director at HJS said "We believe that it is vital for business owners to take all the advice they can, on any matters which can help the success of their companies - however long they may have been in business. Legislation is constantly changing, as is government support. Businesses should be taking advantage of any support which is available, especially in the current economic climate. We are very pleased to be working with NatWest on this event, and look forward to welcoming local business owners on the 21st."

Those wishing to attend, or who would like to find out more, can contact either Pete Sandhu from HJS on 023 8023 4222 or Derek Hatton from NatWest on 023 8024 2120
