RBS appoints Bill Gates Head of Loan Syndicate, Americas
RBS Securities Inc. (RBS) today announced that Bill Gates has joined the firm’s Global Banking & Markets division in the Americas as Head of Loan Syndicate, Americas.

Mr. Gates will be responsible for all investment grade and non-investment grade loan syndicate activities in support of the firm’s corporate and emerging market clients. Bill will be based in Stamford, CT and report dually to Victor Forte and Myles Clarke, Co-Heads of Global Syndicate.
Mr. Gates brings nearly 20 years of loan syndicate and capital markets experience to RBS. He joins the bank from Blue Hill Capital where he provided fund raising and capital markets advisory services. Prior to this position, Mr. Gates was with UBS where he served as a Managing Director in the firm’s Leverage Capital Markets group, where he focused on a variety of industry verticals, including the Consumer, Industrial, Retail, Power, Aerospace and Defense sectors. Before that he held senior loan syndicate positions at Merrill Lynch and Lehman Brothers.
