RBS appoints Fazal Merchant as Head of Global Industrials, Americas

Mr. Merchant will report to Robert McKillip, Co-Head of RBS' Global Banking & Markets division in the Americas and Head of Global Banking, Americas.

Mr. Merchant joins RBS from Barclays Capital where he was a Managing Director in their Global Industrials Group. His responsibilities focused on strategic advisory, corporate finance and risk management. Prior to joining Barclays in 2004, Mr. Merchant spent nine years with Ford Motor Company where he rose to serve as Purchasing Controller for Ford of Europe. Mr. Merchant also held various leadership roles in Treasury and Finance Management at Ford Motor Company and Ford Credit.
