NatWest Supports Dental Practice Acquisition

A Fleet-based dentist has acquired his first UK dental practice through Enterprise Finance Guarantee Scheme ("EFG") funding, provided by new banking partner NatWest.

A Fleet-based dentist has acquired his first UK dental practice through Enterprise Finance Guarantee Scheme ("EFG") funding, provided by new banking partner NatWest.

Denis Zenon brings 19 years of dental experience with him from his homeland in South Africa. He has worked in a practice in Windsor and resided in Wokingham for the past four years and felt it was the right time to enter into practice ownership in the UK through his company, Dental Touch Practice Ltd. The practice is located in Woodleigh, Fleet, where Denis has taken on existing patients who will be looked after by himself, his wife Areti and his nursing team. He required £780k to purchase the practice, which NatWest provided - £500k which was funded via the EFG Scheme.

Phil Meisner, Business Development Manager, Healthcare and Phil Opie, Relationship Director at NatWest were approached by Denis to review his business plan and advised him the EFG Scheme was suitable to his needs - The Government-backed scheme aims to ensure that smaller businesses have the necessary working capital or investment finance in place to help them through the difficult economic climate.

Denis Zenon, Owner, Dental Touch Ltd, said:

"It is really exciting to finally be my own boss. The premises in Fleet became available at a time the previous owner was looking to retire so inheriting his patients made the transition easier. I am confident so far that I have made the right decision and thank NatWest for their valued support throughout the start-up process."

Phil Meisner, Business Development Manager, Healthcare said:

"Denis instilled me with confidence from the outset, given his experience in the industry and appetite to succeed and it is rewarding to see him fulfilling his personal ambitions. I wish him and Areti every success as they establish themselves in the local community."
