RugbyForce
RugbyForce is a community initiative that supports local rugby clubs in building for their future.
RBS Group and our retail divisions - RBS, NatWest and Ulster Bank - deliver RugbyForce across the UK and Ireland. In partnership with the respective rugby unions, we help clubs at the grassroots of the game to improve their facilities, and give guidance on making their club a more sustainable business.
RugbyForce provides an opportunity for clubs to gather members, supporters, family and friends for a weekend of fun-filled DIY. We provide clubs with online guidance and tools to help them coordinate a community-wide effort to give their facilities a 'make-over'.
In 2012 a new club sustainability education programme that gives practical tips to each participating club has been introduced to the initiative. The tool will help clubs to become more sustainable businesses, and build upon the work conducted during RugbyForce weekend.
England
RBS RugbyForce has been delivered within England since 2009. In 2012 clubs will again be provided with the opportunity to improve their facilities via the programme.
Scotland
RBS RugbyForce is part of RBS's Club Rugby Programme. As proud Principle Partner of Scottish Rugby they support the game at all levels, from local clubs to the national teams.
Ireland
Ulster Bank introduced the Ulster Bank RugbyForce programme last season, after joining forces with the IRFU to become their 'Official Community Partner'. Ulster Bank RugbyForce Weekend is scheduled to take place in May 2012.
Wales
NatWest RugbyForce forms the backbone of NatWest's Official Club Supports Partnership with the WRU.
