Paul's story

Driven by exciting challenges Paul enjoys his current role because it prepares him to lead the trend in how we address some of the future corporate financing and risk hedging issues. His job is fast paced, dynamic and the steep learning curves enable him to deal with additional responsibilities.

"My role is varied but essentially I focus on providing corporate clients with product advice, analysis of capital structures, rating advice and strategic risk management. I also work with teams across the RBS Group and try to anticipate all the needs of a corporate treasurer".

Every day is unique for Paul, he interacts with Merger and Acquisition bankers, sales staff, and coverage bankers in 15 countries across Asia. His team focuses on clients and offers multi-product approach and product-neutral advisory services to corporate clients. These are the ways of next generation banking!

"One of my many achievements was when I helped the marketing team in Japan to develop a simulation methodology to produce risk exposure diagrams for middle corporate clients".

To succeed in his team Paul has to have a deep understanding of both corporate finance and the detailed products that are available. Creativity and the ability to think outside the box are must haves to keep up with changing client requirements and market trends.

"I wouldn't swap where I am at the moment for any other job; it's a great place to be and the career opportunities are endless".
