RBS 6 Nations

As sponsor since 2003, association with the premiere annual international rugby competition in the Northern Hemisphere provides support for both our domestic and international businesses. More importantly, support through this partnership reaches thousands of local rugby clubs and communities across the UK and Ireland.

All of our match day tickets for Scotland internationals go directly to RBS current account customers via the RBS Scottish Rugby Club. We also use access to national team players and coaching staff to support local rugby clubs with coaching and fundraising.

RugbyForce

RugbyForce is a community initiative that helps local rugby clubs to work with community voluteers and local business to improve their facilities.  In 2012 the programme will also support clubs toward becoming more sustainable businesses.

Rugby Union partnerships

RBS is the principle partner of the Scottish Rugby Union (SRU) offering support at all levels of the game.

Ulster Bank is also an official community partner of the Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU).

Support for rugby clubs is also provided directly to the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU) and the Rugby Football Union (RFU) in England.

Golf

RBS proudly supports the Scottish Golf Union's (SGU) 'clubgolf' programme encouraging golf participation in schools.

We are also a Patron of the First Tee programme which helps underprivileged youth develop life skills through the game of golf.

Set4Sport

In partnership with GB Federation Cup captain Judy Murray, we have helped her to develop and promote Set4Sport, a programme of fun games for families and their children  designed as 'effective play' to help them develop core competencies in preparation for any sport they may try in the future.  Judy's sons Andy and Jamie help to promote the programme.

Cricket

NatWest supports the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) as sponsor of the annual One Day International tests (The NatWest Series). NatWest CricketForce annually draws together up to 85,000 volunteers in support of 1,500 local cricket clubs to help improve their facilities.

England internationalist Michael Vaughan supports the NatWest partnership while Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar serves as global cricket ambassdor for RBS supporting staff and client programmes.

We created the NatWest Cricket Club to encourage NatWest customers to get involved with NatWest CricketForce. Also all our NatWest Series and International T20 tickets are given directly to NatWest current account customers via the NatWest Cricket Club.

Scottish Sponsorships

Supporting iconic events and organisations that define the fabric of Scottish culture and society, RBS Group maintain customer and community-based partnerships with the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, the Edinburgh International Book Festival, The Royal Highland Show and National Museums Scotland.
