We opened offices in the US in 1960. In 1988 we acquired Rhode Island-based Citizens Financial Group (CFG). Today CFG operates across 12 states in New-England, the Mid-Atlantic and the Midwest through Citizens Bank and Charter One.
Global Markets has a significant presence in corporate banking and US credit, foreign exchange and derivatives markets. It provides US treasury, agency, and asset-backed securities services through RBS Securities (formerly RBS Greenwich Capital). Global Transactions Services provide cash management and trade services across all segments of the commercial marketplace through RBS, Citizens Bank and Charter One, and merchant services through WorldPay.
