We focus on five strategic themes:
- Fair
banking - Supporting
enterprise - Employee
engagement - Safety and
security - Citizenship and
environment
Fair banking means getting it right for our customers. This theme covers all parts of the important relationship that we have with our customers, including: responsible lending practices and products, customer service, access to financial services, and financial education and capability.
Helping businesses start up and grow is a key part of how we support enterprise. We have a number of services that provide advice and support.
'Employee engagement' is about how we recruit, motivate and support our people, focusing on issues such as diversity, training and reward.
The safety and security of our customers' money and information and our staff is a key responsibility of ours.
Being a good corporate citizen means being there for the communities that we operate in across the globe, and taking into account the environmental, ethical and social risks of the way we do business is a key element of being sustainable.
