Give As You Earn

In the UK and Ireland, for every £1 that our employees donate to charity, we add two more. We supported 3,500 different causes through GAYE in 2007 and more employees than ever before are taking advantage of the scheme.

Community Cashback Awards

Each year employees from across the Group can apply for an award ranging from £100 to £1,000 which will be donated to the charity they volunteer with.

Children's Charity Awards

In 2007 we teamed up with the Daily Mail to invite their readers and our employees to nominate their favourite children's charities. Over 18,000 people took part and 90 children's charities received a £10,000 grant.

Tommy's, the premature baby charity, was the overall winner of the public vote and received a grant of £100,000.

Macmillan

In April 2008, we announced a three-year, £1.5m partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support to tackle the poverty that can be caused by cancer - including helping people to cope financially.

This extends the work we are already doing in financial education through the MoneySense programme for schools and adults.
